Ingredients (4 Servings)

  • 1 small can of chickpeas (drained net weight 250 g)
  • 1 tbs. of tahini (ground sesame seeds, available in Turkish and organic grocery stores)
  • 4 tbsp. of olive oil
  • Juice of one lemon Some garlic, 1/2 tbsp. cumin
  • Salt, pepper
  • Optional: Fresh parsley and/or paprika powder and olive oil for garnishing

Directions

Puree everything and add spices to taste. If you like, garnish with parsley and/or paprika powder and olive oil.

Important: Chickpeas are high in potassium. It is important not to use fresh/dried chickpeas but chickpeas out of a can. Remove the water and rinse them again with clean water.
