And this is also, why we are proud to announce a very special award that has been given to our South African colleagues from the Fresenius Cape Town Kidney & Dialysis Centre.
As announced on Sept, 9th 2015 by Discovery Health, a South African private medical insurer, the Fresenius Cape Town Kidney & Dialysis Centre was named the top performing provider of chronic dialysis in South Africa for 2015. Congratulations!
It is the first time that this award has been given and we are proud of this fantastic achievement. We thank Sr Fortuin, the Cape town centre´s Unit Manager, for her expert management and her Nephrological Team with Dr. Rob Tribe, Prof Swanepoel and Dr. Wearne, whose endless dedication could made this happen. Dr. Tribe was named the top performing specialist and we would like to give him our special thanks for his outstanding care and commitment.
The award is the result of a yearly Quality Summit and part of the Kidney Care programme, one of Discovery Health´s initiatives. The main aim of the programme is to improve the quality of care for patients undergoing dialysis treatment.
The analysis of the different programme members and chronic dialysis providers did take a combination of factors into account. The Fresenius Cape Town Kidney & Dialysis Centre was awarded “…an extremely high data integrity and accuracy that provides doctors and providers of chronic dialysis useful clinical insights. This data can then be used for targeted interventions to improve quality of care and quality of life for our members….”
This result reflects our excellent work in chronic dialysis patient treatment and it encourages us to further invest and dedicate all our endeavors for continuous high patient care quality.
